Blessings to Future College Students,

This website was designed to help students and parents identify resources to acquire financial assistance at all levels of collegiate life. It’s not enough to desire an education. Today can be the beginning of a faith journey offering insight about mapping your future and finding scholarships / grant support for funding your dream. Check out the site! The handouts were designed for a group presentation called “Show us the Money!” It is a workshop that I facilitate for groups of six or more students and parents. Contact me at nuwalk1@yahoo.com for more information.

What does it take to become a musician, doctor, lawyer, teacher, preacher or any vocation? Many careers require an education beyond high school. When I think about God’s future, I wonder how all the time passed so quickly. Preparing for college takes prayer, focus, faith and love. The best thing that I can say is God’s grace is sufficient and prayers are answered. May blessings continue following throughout your high school days as you prepare for an awesome future.

My prayers are going forth uplifting success to everyone who seeks help from this site. Blessings of success to you as you apply for college and complete final exams, research papers, and special projects. Step out on faith and pray God’s word unto Him. Seek His direction for your life by:

Avoid Scholarship Scams

According to the Federal Trade Commission, there are unscrupulous companies that guarantee or promise scholarships, grants or fantastic financial aid packages. Many use high pressure sales pitches at seminars where students are required to pay immediately or risk losing out on the "opportunity."

The FTC cautions students to look and listen for these tell-tale lines:

  • "The scholarship is guaranteed or your money back."
  • "You can't get this information anywhere else."
  • "I just need your credit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship."
  • "We'll do all the work."
  • "The scholarship will cost some money."
  • "You've been selected" by a "national foundation" to receive a scholarship - or "You're a finalist" in a contest you never entered.
